Overview
Configured MediaMTX as the streaming backbone for the SmartCam surveillance system, handling RTSP ingestion from camera modules and distributing streams via WebRTC and HLS.
Configuration
- RTSP ingestion on port 8554
- WebRTC on port 8889 with UDP media ports
- HLS fallback for compatibility
- Authentication via internal user database
Results
Achieved sub-500ms WebRTC latency on local network with 3 concurrent camera streams on Raspberry Pi 4.
